Learning Outcomes
By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

- Explain how individuals generate data online and who is interested in that data
- Analyze and reflect on online personal data generation

Defining Data Generation
Provide a definition of data generation as “the term refers to the amount of personal information and data that we all leave behind (or generate) while using the web.” Feel free to expand on this definition based on your own research

Share a few ways in which we all generate data. Review the ways in which our data can be helpful to our experience, and also detrimental

Brainstorm what sorts of personal data people generate about themselves online
